Pegasus Equibalance

Pegasus Equibalance® is an oat-free concentrated pellet, which is excellent for those trainers who like to add their own grains to the diet. Equibalance is great for balancing a grain diet. Its concentrated levels of vitamins and minerals mean that it has a low feeding rate, whilst still providing horses with their nutritional needs. This allows the trainer to add additional grain to meet the horse’s energy requirements, whilst having the piece of mind that the vitamin and mineral requirements are being met from the pellet.

Feeding Directions

Equibalance® should be mixed 1 to 1 with grain such as oats or can be fed with other grains like steam flaked barley for nervous horses or horses prone to tying up

Equibalance® can be fed as the sole feed for good doing horses

Feed a minimum of 1% body weight of good quality roughage in the form of pasture, hay or chaff

Equibalance® should be introduced slowly to the diet over 7 - 10 days

The amount fed should be divided into at least two feeds daily, with a maximum of 3kg of Equibalance® and grain per feed Reduce the amount of Equibalance® and grain fed on rest days

Supply a salt block to heavy sweating horses and extra electolytes if required eg KER Restore

Ensure clean, fresh water is available at all times
