At Milne Feeds, we’re passionate about supporting the future of Western Australia’s agricultural industry, which is why we’re proud sponsors of AgVocateWA, a group run by young people from all over Western Australia, from various backgrounds within agriculture. As part of this partnership, we’re pleased to share the following article written exclusively for Milne Feeds by Sophie Woolridge, the president of AgVocateWA.

AgVocateWA is proud to welcome the sponsorship and ongoing support of Milne Feeds. This collaboration underscores a shared commitment to empowering the next generation of agricultural leaders and ensuring the sustainability of the industry for years to come.
AgVocateWA is a volunteer run non-profit, dedicated to supporting, educating, and advocating for young individuals in Western Australia's agricultural sector. Their mission is to foster innovation, sustainability, and inclusivity, creating a strong community of future leaders, equipped to drive positive change in the industry.
Through events and opportunities, AgVocateWA provides platforms for people under the age of 35 to connect, share ideas, and gain insights from peers and industry experts.
Recognising the importance of nurturing young talent, Milne Feeds has actively supported AgVocateWA initiatives. Their sponsorship of events, including AgVocateWA’s recent Annual Forum, demonstrates their commitment to fostering the growth of young professionals in agriculture.
The Annual Forum, with a theme of ‘Changes in Agriculture’, highlighted the evolving landscape of the industry and the need for adaptability and forward-thinking. Special guests included Mia Davies, and influencers Jack Tossol, Steph Borowski, Tara Farms and Jack Cresswell. AgVocateWA has also run various smaller events throughout the year, including an industry tour of a malting facility in Perth, and a social quiz night in Bolgart.
Events such as these would simply not be possible without the generous support of sponsors like Milne Feeds.
The partnership between AgVocateWA and Milne Feeds is rooted in a mutual understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the agricultural sector. Both organisations recognise that investing in youth development is crucial for the industry's longevity and success.
AgVocateWA membership is available from just $20/year, a worthwhile investment for anyone aged under 35 in your business.
