Meet the Waters Family - Milne Feeds Kununoppin Depot

November 24, 2021

The Waters family have been farming in the Kununoppin and surrounding area for almost 100 years. As fourth generation farmers, Peter and Shannon run a mixed sheep and cropping enterprise, in partnership with Peter’s parents, Geoff and Sandra Waters, on their 21,000 acre property.

As comes with living in the country, Peter and his family have been, and continue to be involved in local community sport. Peter is currently in his 11th year as president of the Bencubbin Football Club, of which Milne Feeds has been a long-term sponsor. Shannon has been involved with multiple local netball teams over the years.  She is in her 5th year as director for the Central Wheatbelt Netball Association and has held several positions including president and treasurer during that time. Sport certainly runs in the family, with their children, Chloe and Jack, having played netball, football, basketball and hockey over the years.

After trying Milne pellets for finishing their own lambs, it was a natural progression for Peter and his family to become the local Milne Feeds Depot in 2009. Previously a home-mixer, Peter was aware of the difficulties involved with mixing and feeding grain. The time-consuming nature of home-mixing, paired with the risk involved with trying to get the mix right every time, led him to look for an alternative solution. Milne Feeds EasyOne provided exactly what he was after. For Peter, the key benefit was that the pellets are scientifically formulated and nutritionally balanced, which meant he had the assurance that EVERY time the feed was just right. Plus, less time feeding out compared to home-mixing was the icing on the cake!

If you are in Kununoppin and surrounds, Peter Waters is always happy to chat about your feeding requirements, or to discuss your Milne Feeds easy feeding solution, on 0428 832 055.
